Dattatec Tech Review is written by a small group of people who have spent their working lives around servers, hosting control panels and the small-business websites that depend on them. Lucia Bergallo runs the site and handles hosting and domain coverage, Tomas Iriarte looks after networking and storage, and Renata Quiroga edits the buying guides and keeps our recommendations consistent from one article to the next.
We cover the equipment that sits between a website and the people visiting it: routers and mesh systems, NAS boxes and drives, mini PCs and home lab servers, uninterruptible power supplies, KVM switches, cables and the monitors and desks that go with a working setup. Topics come from the questions we get from freelancers, agencies and shop owners running their own sites, not from whatever vendors are promoting that month.
Testing means living with the hardware. We set devices up the way a reader would, run them for weeks rather than an afternoon, and record what matters later: sustained throughput and coverage at real distances, drive temperatures and rebuild times, idle and peak power draw, battery runtime under a genuine load, noise, and how long a vendor keeps issuing firmware. Where we have not tested something ourselves, we say so and explain what the recommendation rests on.

We revisit our guides as prices move and models are discontinued, and we correct mistakes openly with a note about what changed. If you have a question about a setup, a suggestion for something we should test, or a correction to something we published, please write to us using the address on our contact page.
